On April 4, 1953, Kvitka Cisyk was born, an American singer of Ukrainian descent, a popular singer of commercial jingles, opera and blues singer, and performer of Ukrainian folk and popular songs. The song "You Light Up My Life", which she performed for the movie of the same name, won an Academy Award in 1978.
Concert in memory of Kvitka Tsysyk "This separation is painfully unbearable" at the Lviv National Opera. The video features archival photos and recordings of Kvitka Cisyk's voice, as well as performances by stars.
