UEFA Cup in Donetsk

The 2009 UEFA Cup Final is the last edition of this European football trophy. Since the 2009-2010 season, it has been replaced by the Europa League. It was the 51st final in the history of this tournament, as well as the first UEFA Cup final held in Asia.

Ukrainian Shakhtar and German Werder played in the final. The Ukrainian team became the winner of the final and the winner of the 2008-2009 UEFA Cup.
