Les Taniuk: theater and film director

Reference: Les Taniuk was born on July 8, 1938 in the village of Zhukyn, Kyiv region. He died on March 18, 2016. He was a Ukrainian theater and film director, a member of the Sixties, a professor at the Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television, Honored Artist, People's Artist of Ukraine, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, and head of the Memorial Society.

He is also a member of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and chairman of the All-Ukrainian Committee for the Preparation of the Nuremberg-2 Trial of the CPSU-CPSU for the Crimes of Totalitarianism.
