Kazymyr Malevych was born on February 23, 1879 in Kyiv. He was a Ukrainian avant-garde artist, founder of Suprematism, one of the founders of Cubist Futurism, a teacher and art theorist, and the author of one of the most famous paintings of the twentieth century, Black Square.

The program is hosted by Olena Vlasenko. Fragments of Dzyga Vertov's film Man with a Movie Camera are used.
