Leonid Kadeniuk: the first cosmonaut of Ukraine

Leonid Kadenyuk is the hero of the Bravissimo program. He tells us about his life, work, how he chose the profession of astronaut and about his space flight.

Leonid Kadeniuk was born on January 28, 1951. Ukrainian test pilot of the first class, politician, Major General of Aviation, the first and only cosmonaut of independent Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine. Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Honorary Doctor of the Yuriy Fedkovych National University of Chernivtsi. He was awarded the medal “For Space Flight”.

Leonid Kadeniuk died on January 31, 2018.
