Levko Lukyanenko is the hero of the Bravo program. He talks about his life, civic position and political activities.
Levko Lukyanenko was born on August 24, 1928. Ukrainian politician and public figure, diplomat, writer, lawyer and Soviet dissident, participant of the national liberation movement. Hero of Ukraine.
For his beliefs in Ukraine's separation from the Soviet Union and its independence, he was sent to death row as a “dangerous recidivist” and sentenced to the highest form of punishment - execution. Later, the execution was commuted to 15 years in prison. In total, he spent 25 years in prison and exile.
Levko Lukyanenko died on July 7, 2018.
