Before World War II, the village of Piskorovychi (now a village in Poland, in the Leżajski Poviat, Podkarpackie Voivodeship) was an ethnic Ukrainian territory. In 1945, mass executions of Ukrainians and people who supported Ukrainians took place. Nowadays, a memorial plaque in Polish and Ukrainian is installed on the building of the Piskorowicze school in honor of the Ukrainians murdered in this building.
