Semen Hluzman, a psychiatrist and human rights activist, former dissident and political prisoner, president of the Association of Psychiatrists of Ukraine, talks about his life and work. The French clinic of Saint-Denis is named after him. He was one of the authors of the Law of Ukraine “On Psychiatric Care” in 1998-1999, and a United Nations human rights expert. Laureate of the Ukrainian “Person of the Year - 1999” as “Human Rights Defender of the Year”.

He tells about his childhood, how and why he chose the profession of psychiatrist, about dissent and conviction.
