The video is from the program “Standing Upright”. The program tells about the life and work of Ivan Svitlychnyi, a Ukrainian literary critic, linguist, literary critic, poet, translator, and dissident. He was an activist of the Sixties, repressed. He was awarded the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (1994) and the Vasyl Stus Prize.

The materials of the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine and the Museum of the Sixties and the poetry of Ivan Svitlychnyi were used.
