The film tells the story of the life and work of Pavlo Zahrebelnyi, a Ukrainian writer, screenwriter, Hero of Ukraine, winner of the USSR State Prize and Shevchenko Prize. He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 10th and 11th convocations, a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR of the 9th convocation, and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1981-1990.
Interviewees: writers Viacheslav Vedmid and Mykhailo Slaboshpytskyi, poet Liubov Holota, Ella Zahrebelna, his wife, Mykhailo Zadorozhnyi and Oleksii Zhyvodior, residents of the village of Soloshyne, Larysa Kopan, director of the university publishing house Pulsary, Vitalii Donchyk, doctor of philology, Svitlana Radenka, librarian of the Soloshyne school.
