Volodymyr Huba is a People's Artist of Ukraine, winner of the Mykola Lysenko Prize, a representative of the avant-garde movement in music, one of the sixties who renewed interest in organ music in Ukraine.

He is the author of music for more than 150 films and cartoons, including Adventures of the Cossacks, The Stone Cross, The Rising Hawk, and Hetman's Kleinodes.
