Underground units, which later became part of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (about 50 villagers), acted against the occupiers. On April 29, 1943, the Nazis burned down Molotkiv, killing 617 civilians. Now there is a communal institution "Molotkiv Tragedy Memorial Complex-Museum".
