Mykola Som was a Ukrainian poet of the sixties, a publicist, and a teacher. Songs were written on his words: Platon Maiboroda, Mykola Melnychenko, Oscar Sandler, and Oleksandr Bilash. He is the author of the lullaby “Ruchenky, Nienky”, which was broadcast on the TV program “Good Night” for 24 years and was included in the Guinness Book of Records.
