Reference: On December 14, 1992, the "Institute of Border Troops of Ukraine" was established on the funds of the disbanded Khmelnytskyi Higher Artillery Command School. In connection with the reform of the Border Troops, the "Institute of the Border Troops of Ukraine" received the name "Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine" in August 2003.
