Reference: On September 16, 2000, journalist and founder of the online publication 'Ukrainska Pravda' Georgiy Gongadze was abducted on his way home. On November 2, the decapitated body of Georgiy Gongadze was found in the Tarashchansky forest. The circumstances of the journalist's death led to protests against the then President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma.
