Olena Pchilka: “I am not following someone's footsteps...”

2014, Volyn TV and Radio Company, a film about the Ukrainian writer, folklorist, social activist, mother of Lesya Ukraina Olena Petrivna Drahomanova (Olena Pchilka).

Interview: Serhiy Romanov, PhD in philology; Tetiana Danyliuk-Tereshchuk, head of the Lesya Ukrainka Museum at the Eastern European National University (now Volyn National University); Natalia Pushkar, chief curator of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore; Liubov Merzhvynska, leading researcher at the Lesia Ukrainka Literary and Memorial Museum in Kolodiazhne; Petro Tronevych, researcher of Volyn history; Mykola Onufriychuk, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine; Oleksandr Stadnyk, Honored Artist of Ukraine; Anatoliy Silyuk, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine.

The film was produced by: scriptwriter and director Maria Andrushko, editor Svyatoslav Pyrozhko, director of photography Valeriy Fetisov, assistant director Mykola Dmytruk, editor Anzhela Shabala, announcers Maria Andrushko, Dmytro Melnychuk and Dmytro Uraiev, and sound recording by Andriy Zhirnov.

The TV film features the song “Oh, Evening, Evening...” with lyrics by Olena Pchilka and music by Oleksandr Stadnyk, performed by the State Academic Volyn Folk Choir (soloist Halyna His).
