Dniester HPP: construction in 1978

Chernivtsi region, Sokyryany district. The video shows the construction of the Dniester hydroelectric power plant and the city of Novodnistrovsk, 1978. Some of the video is in Russian, some is without sound.

Interviews with construction workers, as well as Volodymyr Plotnikov, the head of the construction of the Dniester HPP. The materials contain signs of propaganda.

Reference: The Dniester HPP is one of the hydroelectric power plants on the Dniester River, located in southwestern Ukraine. For its construction in the 1970s and 1980s, the Soviet authorities flooded the territory of 31 villages in the Chernivtsi and Khmelnytskyi regions.
