Reference: Dniester HPP is one of the hydroelectric power plants on the Dniester River, located in southwestern Ukraine. For its construction in the 1970s and 1980s, the Soviet government flooded the territory of 31 villages in the Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky regions.
