Reference: The Ukrainian peacekeeping contingent participated in the Iraq War as part of the US-led coalition from 2003 to 2005. The armed forces of Ukraine performed tasks on the Iran-Iraq border. In total, about 6,100 Ukrainians served in Iraq and Kuwait, 18 of whom died.
