Reference: Ukraine's main contribution to the peacekeeping mission in Angola (UNAVEM III (1995–1997)) was to provide engineering and transport support. Ukrainian servicemen performed tasks of transporting cargo, evacuating and monitoring the situation, contributing to the restoration of peace after the civil war. This was one of Ukraine's first experiences in international peacekeeping operations.
