Reference: On October 30, 2001, a significant stage of nuclear disarmament took place in Ukraine - the last missile launch facility (MLF) of the RS-22 intercontinental ballistic missile (according to NATO classification - SS-24) was destroyed by an explosion. This step was part of the implementation of Ukraine's international obligations after signing the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, according to which Ukraine renounced nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees.
