Bethlehem Fire of Peace: 2018

Ukrainian Plast members pass the Peace Light of Bethlehem. The video shows the service in the cathedral, the transfer of the flame, Metropolitan Epifaniy, and interviews with the Plast members.

Reference: Representatives of the Austrian television and radio company ORF from Linz started the transmission of the fire from Bethlehem in 1986. Every year, Austrian scouts light the fire in Bethlehem and deliver it to other countries after traditional celebrations at the Vienna Cathedral.

Officially, the first time the Peace Light came to Ukraine was in 1999. The transfer took place at a customs crossing, and since then this tradition has continued annually.
