Reference: Bohdan Ivanovich Khanenko (1849–1917) - Ukrainian collector, patron of the arts, industrialist and member of the State Council of the Russian Empire. He was an active participant in the cultural life of Kyiv, collecting collections of antiquities and works of art that became the basis of the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts in Kyiv. Khanenko also engaged in archaeological excavations in the Kyiv region and actively supported scientific societies. His legacy significantly influenced the development of Ukrainian culture and art.
