A fragment of Anatoly Klimov’s film “Football Technique” from 1972 is dedicated to the main technical elements of the game of football: kicks at a stationary ball, kicks at a moving ball, stopping the ball, heading, individual and group exercises.

The technique is demonstrated by players of the Dynamo football club (Kyiv) Valeriy Porkuyan and Anatoly Byshovets.

Dubbed in Russian, it contains fragments of football matches.

Reference: Anatoly Ivanovich Klimov (1924-1994) is a Ukrainian cinematographer who gained recognition for his work in the field of popular science films. He began his career in 1946 at the Kyiv Popular Science Film Studio and made a number of important films that cover various aspects of science, technology and industry. Later, he focused on sports themes.

The short film "Technique of Football" (1972) became an important sports film of the time. The film won high awards, including the Gold Medal at the 4th All-Union Sports Film Festival in Odessa (1972) and the Gold Medal and Honorary Diploma at the International Sports Film Festival in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy (1973).
