Note: The first round of the presidential election took place on January 17, 2010. Viktor Yanukovych, a representative of the Party of Regions, and Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna party, made it to the second round. According to the results of processing 100.00 percent of the protocols, the opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych won with 48.95 percent; Yulia Tymoshenko was 3.48 percent behind with 45.47 percent. Against both candidates voted 4.36% of citizens.
Yulia Tymoshenko did not concede defeat, claimed massive fraud “in Ukraine as a whole by more than 1 million votes using various technologies” and said she would challenge the election results in court.
