For reference: The cargo ship Faina, owned by the Panamanian company Waterlux AG, was hijacked by Somali pirates on September 25, 2008. The entire crew of 21 people, 17 of whom were Ukrainians, were taken captive. The ship was carrying weapons: T-72 tanks, multiple launch rocket systems, and firearms. On February 4, 2009, the pirates received the desired ransom of $3 million 22 thousand, and on February 13, 2009, the Faina and the entire crew returned to Ukraine.
