Reference: Oleksandr Stanislavovich Renkas was the chief architect of the Cherkasy region (formed in 1954) from 1964 to 1990. His main projects: organization of comprehensive design of the development of the center of Cherkasy, a single ensemble of city squares, development of the centers of the cities of Uman, Smila, Zvenyhorodka, Shpola, Kanev, and Chyhyryn.
