International Hutsul Festival

September 5, 2005, Rakhiv city, Transcarpathian region.

The plot is dedicated to the XV International Hutsul Festival in Transcarpathia on September 2-4, 2005.

In the video: alpine meadows, a shepherd with sheep, people milking a sheep; selling sheep cheese (brynza), blitz poll of sellers at the fair; Hutsuls in national costumes, musical instruments, a boy playing the trembita; people dancing by the fire, folk dances.

Reference: The International Hutsul Folklore and Ethnographic Festival has been held annually in one of the cities of the Hutsul region since 1991. The main goal is the preservation, revival and popularization of Hutsul culture and art. During the festival, scientific and practical conferences, round tables, symposiums, reviews-competitions for the best performance of Hutsul customs and rituals, songs, dances and melodies, amateur drama groups, amateur video films, Hutsul humor, exhibitions-sales of products by Hutsul folk craftsmen, museum expositions, and sporting events are held.
