Reference: Volodymyr Sokirko (1892 — 1983) — Ukrainian actor, People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1946). He worked in theaters in Odessa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernivtsi, performing significant roles in classical and Ukrainian works, and also acted in films. One of his best roles is Mykola Zadorozhny in “Stolen Happiness,” based on the work of Ivan Franko.
