For reference: Sokol is a hockey club from Kyiv. The current champion and winner of the Ukrainian Hockey Cup. It was founded in 1963 as Dynamo, and since 1973 as Sokil.

Bronze medalist of the USSR Championship (1985). Champion of Ukraine (1993, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2022, 2023, 2024). Champion of the Eastern European Hockey League in 1998 and 1999. In 1986, the team was a finalist in the Spengler Cup, the oldest international ice hockey tournament in the world, which has been held in Davos, Switzerland, since 1923.

The club's official colors are blue, white and blue.
