The candidates present their election programs, discuss the future of Ukraine and answer questions from the audience.

For reference: The second presidential election in Ukraine took place in 1994. They were called ahead of schedule. Seven candidates received official registration. Six of them ran as self-nominated candidates: Valeriy Babych, Volodymyr Lanovyi, Ivan Plyushch, Petro Talanchuk, Leonid Kuchma, and the current president Leonid Kravchuk. The only candidate delegated by the Socialist Party of Ukraine was Oleksandr Moroz.

On June 26, Leonid Kravchuk won the first round of elections with 37.7% of the vote. Leonid Kuchma came in second with 31.1%.

On July 10, the second round was held. Leonid Kuchma won the election: 52% to 45% of the vote for the incumbent President Leonid Kravchuk.
