The documentary film "Ukrainian Insurgency" is about the struggle of Ukrainians for their state in the twentieth century. The film's protagonists are UPA veterans Mykhailo Kardash, Dmytro Hrytsko, Fedir Volodymyrsky, Stepan Mudryk, Vasyl Malaniuk, Vasyl Kuk, Petro Duzhyi, Mykola Lebid, Yevhen Stakhiv, Mykola and Maria Boryshkevych, a resident of the village of Maidan Petro Kaminnyk, residents of the village of Hrabivka Petro Yurchak and Paraska Bodenko, and historian Hryhoriy Demian.
The film uses black-and-white chronicles from the Second World War and the Soviet occupation of Ukraine.
