TV and radio company “Scythia”. The program “Sotnikov’s Land” for March 1, 2006 is dedicated to the Kherson Olympian, kayaker Ivan Sotnikov.

Reference: Ivan Sotnikov is a Soviet kayaker, participant in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, where he took 7th place in the 10,000-meter distance. He won numerous titles of USSR champion and was a master of sports. In 1972-2000 he lived alone in a small house on an island in the floodplains of the Konka River, where he was called “the most honored Robinson of Ukraine”.
