The program “Figures” is dedicated to Ukrainian canoeist, Olympic champion Andriy Khimich. The athlete talks about his passion for sports since childhood, mastering canoeing, first successes, achievements in sports, emotions from winning the Olympics, coaching, and his farm.
The program uses a video from the movie Easy Water, a black-and-white chronicle of sports training.
Reference: Andrii Khymych was a rowing athlete, Honored Master of Sports of the Ukrainian SSR (1964), Honored Coach of the Ukrainian SSR (1966), European champion (1961, 1965), USSR champion (1961-1966), and champion of the XVII Olympic Games in Tokyo (1964). He was born on December 14, 1937, in Chernihiv region. After completing his sports career, he worked as a coach. He currently lives in the village of Chornobai, Cherkasy region. He is an honorary citizen of Cherkasy region.
