Reference: Maria Kapnist is a Ukrainian theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Daughter of Count Rostyslav Kapnist and granddaughter of poet Vasyl Kapnist. After her father's arrest and exile to the Gulag, she returned to Ukraine, where she gained popularity thanks to roles in theaters and cinema, becoming a national favorite.
