The sculptor Yaroslav Motyka talks about his work on the monument of glory in Lviv and the works of his colleague and teacher Dmytro Krvavych.

Reference: Yaroslav Motyka was born on January 10, 1943, in the village of Staromishchyna in the Ternopil region. His father Mykola was a long-term prisoner of the Gulag. He attended an art school in Lviv. He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. He had personal exhibitions in Lviv, Kyiv, and Moscow. In 1972, he became a laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine.

Yaroslav Motyka died on March 1, 2025. He was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
