The film is dedicated to the Institute of Electric Welding of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (now the E. O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding) headed by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (now the NAS of Ukraine) Boris Paton and to various forms of cooperation between scientists and workers of leading industries.

Contains archival photographs of scientists and various fragments from Kyiv enterprises.
