Speech by writer Vasyl Shklyar at the "Yi" art festival in Ternopil.

Reference: Vasyl Shklyar is a Ukrainian writer, author of numerous novels and publications. He was born on May 5, 1951 in Cherkasy region. He graduated from Cherkasy Pedagogical Institute, where he received a degree in Ukrainian language and literature. After that, he worked in the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, as well as in cinematography. Shklyar is the author of such famous works as "Black Raven", "Marusya", "Zalishenets", "Taras Bulba" (remake) and others. He also wrote several scripts for film and theater. In his work, he often addresses the theme of the history of Ukraine, national struggle and cultural heritage.
