In a Kyiv studio, journalist Viktor Pasak reads facts from Kravchuk's biography, and Kravchuk makes an opening statement. Leonid Kravchuk answers questions about his priorities as president; the existence of countries within the CIS; guarantees of free movement of citizens of all countries and the possibility of dual citizenship for those living in Ukraine; his own national currency and whether its introduction is dangerous for other CIS countries, saying that by introducing its own currency Ukraine will coordinate its actions with other countries of the Commonwealth; answers questions about Gorbachev's concerns about the fate of the national minority living in Ukraine, i.e. russians; the status of Crimea and the return of Crimean Tatars to their homeland; local self-government and other branches of government in Ukraine; nuclear disarmament of Ukraine and other CIS countries; creation and reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; and supplying products to russia, in accordance with its obligations.
