Reference: The Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were a special military formation with law enforcement functions, which provided protection of strategic facilities, escorting, combating crime and maintaining public order. In 2014, after the Revolution of Dignity, the Internal Troops were disbanded, and their powers were transferred to the restored National Guard of Ukraine, which became the key force structure for ensuring the security of the state.
