Reference: On April 2, 2007, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko signed a decree on the early termination of the powers of the Verkhovna Rada. The reason was a violation of the constitutional procedure for forming a parliamentary majority. This decision led to an aggravation of the political crisis and conflict between the President, the government and the parliament.
