Reference: “Bu-Ba-Bu” (Burlesque-Balagan-Bufonada) is a Ukrainian literary group founded in 1985 in Lviv by Yuri Andrukhovych (Patriarch), Viktor Neborak (Procurator) and Oleksandr Irvanets (Pidskarbiy). The association became a symbol of carnival thinking and aesthetic rebellion of the transitional era, combining poetry with elements of theatrical action. The most active period of activity was in the late 1980s — early 1990s.
