Reference: Serhiy Yakutovych is an outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist, People’s Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize. A master of deep historical vision, he created illustrations, in particular, for Mykola Gogol’s “Taras Bulba”, the French epic “Tristan and Isolde”, and Lina Kostenko’s novel “Berestechko”. Yakutovych’s works are distinguished by their special epicness and attention to medieval and Cossack images. His work is a significant page in the history of Ukrainian graphics.
