Reference: The most famous sight of Monastyrok is the "Yazichnytska" cave - a cave temple, built by the ancient Slavs in the 9th century in a natural limestone grotto. The main relic of the shrine is a unique image of Jesus Christ with closed eyes, which, according to researchers, symbolizes turning away from human sins. The grotto is conventionally divided into three parts - the porch, the nave and the altar, and its architectural structure retains elements of the 19th century restoration carried out by Leon Sapieha. The temple was partly wooden and existed until the end of the 17th century, when it was destroyed by fire.
