Documentary film "They paid for independence with their lives" with interviews with former political prisoners, repressed people, fighters for the independence of Ukraine. They talk about the years of struggle on the way to an independent Ukrainian state: about the actions of the Soviet government against Ukrainians, the deportation of the Ukrainian people to Siberia, the cruel torture of the repressed in Stalin's camps and about the methods of struggle.
