Reference: Artem Vedel is a Ukrainian composer, choral conductor, singer and violinist, a representative of Ukrainian sacred music of the 18th century. The author of over 80 works, including liturgies, choral concerts and trios, written in the style of partes singing with expressive melody, polyphonic texture and deep spiritual content, performed in Church Slavonic, according to the Kyiv tradition. For a long time, Vedel's work was banned and was preserved and transmitted only in manuscripts.
The Borys Lyatoshynskyi Classical Music Ensemble is a Ukrainian professional group at the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine, formed in 1992 by merging the choir and orchestra. The ensemble's repertoire includes over 200 works of European choral and orchestral classics.
