The episode of the program "Chronicle of the 20th Century" is dedicated to the journalist, Ukrainian writer Ivan Bahryany.

The following will tell the writer's biography and demonstrate first editions: literary critic Mykola Zhulynsky; head of the manuscripts department of the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the NAS of Ukraine Serhiy Halchenko; writer Oleksandr Shugay.

Reference: Ivan Bahryany is a Ukrainian writer, poet, publicist and political figure, author of the novels "Tiger Hunters" and "The Garden of Gethsemane", which are based on his experience of repression and exile. An active participant in the Ukrainian liberation movement, in emigration he founded the Ukrainian Revolutionary Democratic Party and headed the Ukrainian National Council.
