2000, Sumy Regional State TV and Radio Company. The program from the series “Fellow Countrymen” is dedicated to the history of the partisan movement in the Sumy region during World War II and the life of one of the leaders of the Ukrainian communist resistance movement, Sydir Kovpak.
The video features: introductions, the host, the Sumy Regional State Archive, archival documents, photographs, and black-and-white footage from the Second World War, a partisan dugout in the Spadshchansky Forest in Putivl district, S. Kovpak's memoirs read by the announcer of the Sumy Regional State Television and Radio Company Volodymyr Provorotsky, an original video recording with Kovpak's voice, and a monument to Kovpak in Putivl. An interview with Kateryna Konovalenko, the first radio operator-parachutist of the Kovpak connection.
