Eurovision Song Contest 2017: announcement of the winner

For reference: the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the 62nd in history. It was held in Kyiv after Jamala's victory in 2016 in Stockholm, where she represented Ukraine with the song “1944”.

In 2017, the contest was held at the International Exhibition Center. It was hosted by Volodymyr Ostapchuk, Oleksandr Skichko and Timur Miroshnychenko. Ukraine was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 by the band O. Torvald.

The contest was attended by 42 countries. russia, which was supposed to participate in the contest, withdrew its application on April 13 because Yulia Samoilova, who was supposed to represent russia, was banned from entering Ukraine because of her visit to the occupied territories.

The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was Salvador Sobral from Portugal.
