“Cranes flew to Chernobyl": Mykola Kondratyuk

Reference: Mykola Kondratiuk was born on May 5, 1931 in Starokonstantyniv. He was an opera and concert chamber singer, teacher, music and public figure, professor, academician of the International Pedagogical Academy of the CIS countries, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR and the USSR, and a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth and tenth convocations.

He has toured the concert and opera stages of the world - in South America, the USA, Canada, Australia, Western Europe, in 40 countries in total. He has recorded on radio, gramophone records, and television. He appeared in music and feature films. He also appeared in the periodicals.

He died on November 16, 2006 in Kyiv. He was buried at the Baikove cemetery.
